Biography
Dr Kimberley Tuapawa is a distinguished academic and award-winning leader with two decades corporate and leadership experience in higher education and local government. Her award-winning research, published across a range of international journals and books, examines the profound ways technology impacts human experiences in higher education. ¬
In 2018, Kimberley returned to her hometown, taking up the role of Group Manager Information and Customer Experience and CIO at Wairoa District Council. A commitment to excellence led to her national recognition as a leader, and many awards for her teams.
Today, Kimberley spearheads an inspiring mission to empower women leaders. Through her renowned Brilliant Women Leaders programme, she supports corporate women to step up and stand out by building unshakable confidence so that they can achieve promotions, speak in public, lead with brilliance, and love their careers. Her work extends across New Zealand and Australia, where she paves the way for countless women to achieve career success.
Beyond her career, Kimberley is a veteran property developer, and a valued member of the ALGIM Board of Directors.
