Details
The GSOT project’s aim was to ensure that the legacy system, CM9 / TRIM was decommissioned, due to servers and equipment past their end of life.
Prior to this Te Pātaka (HCC’s intranet and Digital Workspace) project moved majority of the content into SharePoint, however there were aspects that were placed as out of scope. These played a part in the final push to remove content before HCC lost access due to server and equipment failure.
Additionally, the licensing fee to retain TRIM was a poor use of ratepayer funds – with a cost of $140,000 annually due, this project was successful in its ‘by stealth’ approach to clearing the remaining documents off TRIM.
The remaining areas where documents needed move off TRIM were as follows:
- Documents related to InfoCouncil use
- Archives documents
- Cemeteries data/Property search data
