CX Perspective: Learn about how our council responded to the challenge of business continuity planning in the face of recent natural disasters.
Biography
Peter has extensive experience in Customer Service roles.
Graduating in 1981 he centred his career in customer service starting in supermarket management in the UK. He moved into IT, designing service solutions for Safeway Stores and ultimately directing global customer service teams for pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline and GE Healthcare before emigrating to New Zealand in 2009. His most prominent role included managing a global, multi-lingual customer service contact centre based in China, India, Estonia and Romania.
He joined Palmerston North City Council in November 2012 and has developed their After Hours service that today supports half of NZ Councils.
