Empowering local government transformation through digital skills

Abstract

We will share the journey of one of our clients – a mid-sized local government IT function – focussing on the transformation of their digital skills.

Under new leadership with a remit to transform from an IT operations support function into a modern delivery partner capable of enabling the council’s vision, the need for a people capability roadmap aligned with their technology roadmap was clear.

We share how SFIA – the international digital skills framework – supported the assessment of current state, planning for future state, and the implementation of measurable improvements in digital capabilities, whilst overcoming some common challenges and constraints.
