Chris is a trained meteorologist with over 25 years experience at MetService. He has worked in New Zealand’s National Forecast Centre in all disciplines of weather forecasting including safety of life, public good and commercial weather services. After leading the team of Expert Meteorologists that produce our weather warnings, he moved into the role of Senior Meteorologist and is the current Chairperson of the World Meteorological Organization's Tropical Cyclone Committee for the South Pacific and Southeast Indian Ocean.
