Mihi whakatau
Te Taumata Tapu o Ngāi Tūāhuriri hold the mauri for the kawa & tīkanga o Ngāi Tūāhuriri, and this includes conducting cultural ceremonies. This years mihi Whakatau will be conducted Te Taumata Tapu o Ngāi Tūāhuriri. We ask all delegates to be seated in the auditorium at 12.45pm promptly. The delegation needs to be seated prior to the start. A mihi whakatau is a form of welcome similar to a pōwhiri, but less formal.

Biography

Peter Christie is the Operations and Business Services Manager at PNZ.
During his 10 years at PNZ he has been an integral part of the National Event programme. As MC for the 2016 and 2022 PNZ Conferences in Auckland and Rotorua; as well as the three business symposiums held by PNZ since 2019.
Prior to his time at PNZ he has also introduced and presented at a number of events in the education sector.
He is looking forward his role of MC at Whakatere, the 2024 PNZ Conference in the new Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre.
