ALGIM LG Cybersecurity Programme
Abstract
The ALGIM Cybersecurity programme has now been running for six years and is acknowledged internationally as world leading within the local government sector. The success of the programme in New Zealand has led to similar programmes being established in Australia and the USA with the core of these overseas programmes being the ALGIM Cybersecurity Framework.
Tony will cover the fundamentals of the ALGIM Cybersecurity framework as well as the Information Management and Privacy frameworks which make up the ALGIM New Zealand Framework. He will also talk about the technical requirements for implementing Mail Transfer Agent Strict Transport Security (MTA-STS), being added to the ALGIM framework in Q4 2024, and mandated for use by NZ Government agencies by June 2026.
