Abstract
LINZ enjoys working with local government across a (growing) range of areas and we want to further underpin this valued work with lasting partnerships. This presentation will showcase the existing body of collaborative projects, share details of new opportunities to work together, and lay out how we hope to be leaders in service to our partners, stakeholders and customers. The presentation invites local government to participate with LINZ in finding common goals and win-win-win outcomes that benefit communities, government, and NZ Inc.
Biography
As the Head of Location Information at Toitū Te Whenua Land Information New Zealand (LINZ), Aaron supports LINZ to collect, manage, improve and publish geographic and property information to provoke better decisions and inspire innovation. After training as Surveyor, Aaron first began working for LINZ 22 years ago and spent time working in Switzerland and Australia between 2007 and 2012 leading software development teams and running a small start-up, before returning to LINZ. Aaron has held a number of roles at LINZ across various domains, including Geodesy (or Positioning), Topographic Mapping, Property Information and Digital and Data Leadership. In all of these roles, collaboration has been at the heart of the delivery mindset.
