Nothing But Net – the story so far
Abstract
From its inception after COVID the Nothing But Net Strategy has grown to deliver and focus on not only Smart Communities but advocacy for digital equity across The Far North and Te Tai Tokerau. After winning the ALGIM Smart Communities award in 2023, where are we now and what does the future hold.
Biography
Tom is the Chief Digital Officer at Far North District Council, prior to that Tom was the Programme Lead for the Nothing But Net strategy. The Nothing But Net Strategy, was and is a community led initiave and is focussed on digital equity, connectivity and the use of smart technolgies to enable Council to leverage technologies and insights to inlcude resilience, community safety and asset management. Far North District Council won the ALGIM Smart Communities Award for 2023.
Prior to joing Council, Tom has worked in the ICT industry for over 30 years, in various roles, both technical, sales and management.
