Abstract
This presentation outlines the information governance framework that Christchurch City Council is adopting to enhance its information management capabilities and deliver trusted, secure, and accessible information that benefits our community. Information governance ensure transparency, collaboration, and accountability among all stakeholders, aligning them around shared information management objectives.Effective information governance empowers our people to confidently utilise digital services and streamline enterprise-wide processes. This enables flexible and efficient work, a deeper understanding of citizen needs, and ensures access to the right information for informed decision-making.
Biography
Mahmood is a seasoned information management professional with a doctorate in the field. He has a proven record of designing and implementing specialised knowledge and information management solutions in government organisations.
Mahmood is currently working as an Information Architect for Christchurch City Council. He’s passionate about creating a seamless digital experience for Council staff by integrating data and information management practices. Mahmood is leading the implementation of a robust information governance framework at Christchurch City Council. This will ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed about their information management responsibilities and collaborate effectively to achieve Council’s information management maturity goals.
