Abstract
This presentation explores the development of the Marlborough District Council’s DIAR (data and information asset register). It outlines how the project team developed the register and its associated discovery process by leveraging external frameworks and tools. It highlights the project’s collaborative underpinnings with a multi-disciplinary project team, the use of cross departmental workshops and frequent knowledge sharing with like-minded organisations.
Biography
Kate is an information and data management specialist with the Marlborough District Council. Her role is primarily focused on establishing frameworks and governance tools for information assets. She is particularly interested in the management of archives and methods for ensuring digital continuity.
Kate is a member of the ALGIM Toolkit Steering Committee.
Kate has held roles within the utilities management sector and central government, including Archives New Zealand.
