Change and the 'F' word: are you really focusing on the optimum emotional culture to ensure change lands well?

Abstract

Change by its very nature is an emotional process - it brings up a rollercoaster of feelings that can be an enabler or disabler for successfully landing change.

Yet how often are emotions considered at the centre of an organisations change and transformation strategy and plan.

Research studies are mounting up that consistently show how important emotions are in driving engagement, performance, creativity, retention and commitment in the workplace. What’s more - ignoring emotions at work can increase the likelihood of employee burnout, absenteeism, and disengagement.

During this session Lotty Roberts, Founder of MiND.U a leading voice in emotional culture, organisational change leadership, will present her approach to ensure you place feelings and emotions at the heart of your organisations change approach including -
• Why feelings matter in the workplace and in particular during change.
• The definition of Emotional Culture, what it is and how it can either set you up for change success or failure.
• How to get intentional about setting up an emotional culture that enables change.
• A simple tool you can use to help you embrace emotions at work as a source of wisdom, change resilience and collaboration.

“The heart of change is in the emotions” – John P Kotter
