Details

We wanted to ensure that our councillors when elected had the best possible digital experience. We wanted to make sure they were enabled to effective and efficient, and felt well supported to represent our community. Previously Councillors didn’t receive consistent induction training or standardised equipment when they joined the organisation. The discrepancies in equipment allocation resulted in an uneven distribution of tools and technology among our councillors, hampering budgeting, efficiency and maintenance efforts. This inconsistency not only led to operational difficulties, but also introduced security vulnerabilities across our fleet due to outdated equipment lacking consistent security measures. Moreover, the lack of initial training compounded the issue, resulting in an inconsistent customer experience, creating a dependency on governance assistants to report issues (or not reporting them), and compromising our ability to address issues promptly.
